Catalina Magazine's Latino Kick-Off Event in 2002 was incredible. Cheech Marin
and Elizabeth Pena were the celebrities for the event, and Rosario Marin, the Treasurer of the United
States, was the honorable guest. Yes, look at your money and see her signature right there. A first
for the Latin community and a special celebration for many first was spoken about that night.
Elizabeth Pena and Cheech Marin were wonderful to work with and Rosario Marin never stopped smiling.
It was an event I was proud to be a part of, even as the white photographer. Enjoy this very small
